Maui Coffee Attic blends coffee, music and community

Looking for a local hotspot for great coffee, food and entertainment? If the answer is yes, then make one of your must-stops the Maui Coffee Attic in the historic town of Wailuku.

Opened in 2015, this quaint 1950s-style café offers a bit of nostalgia. Décor and furnishings hint of that memorable era ¬– even the bar, bar stools and cash register are still used today. There are cozy spaces with comfortable seating where you can relax, study and connect with friends. Breakfast and lunch is served all day. Among the local favorites are BBQ Pulled Pork Lilikoi Sandwich, Avocado Toast and Kimchi Quesadilla. Pastries baked in-house include their signature Ube Haupia scone and Lilikoi Bar. And then, there is the wide range of family-friendly entertainment such as live music, comedy, magic shows and more. Live music is offered every morning 8:30-10:30am and many lunch-time shows for free. Friday and Saturday evenings are ticketed concerts.

This popular Mom & Pop is the brainchild of professional photographer John Henry, his wife Gwen, and his family who continue to enjoy this business that they’ve nurtured over the years.

Once the original cafe on the Hokama’s business site, Maui Coffee Attic’s owners have added their own kick with the things they love – coffee, music and camaraderie. Today, they are extremely grateful to their customers for their patronage, and the volunteers and performers for their ongoing support. And, they’re thrilled to be a part of the special Wailuku Town community.

Maui Coffee Attic is open Monday to Saturday, 6am to 4pm, closed on Sunday. To see their menu, schedule of upcoming show and more, visit www.MauiCoffeeAttic.com.
